Skating Fun!

We all went roller skating Wednesday night with Ben's Cub Scout pack...the kids loved it!

It took awhile, a bad fall, and a little anger at Mommy but all of this inspired Ben to try hard and start to get comfortable skating without the assistance of the wall.  By the end of the evening he was insisting on skating solo...give him a month or two and he's going to be doing great!

Laura also did great.  She fell once and got upset but then she saw the big kids doing the limbo and got distracted by the fun...she insisted she was big enough to join in.  I don't think crawling beneath the stick counts, but it sure was cute to watch!

Merry Christmas!!

We had a lovely Christmas...we even managed to get a white one this year!  The kids got spoiled as always and we even had a couple of friends stop over for brunch in the morning.  And, for the second year running, a lovely family from our church invited us over for a delicious and enjoyable dinner on Christmas day.

The kids pretty much got everything they wanted this year (with the exception of the blasted Furbies they keep asking for....NEVER! Those little buggers are creepy!) and we full of excitement.  The two biggest hits are Ben's Wii (which he has been wanting for a long time) and the Barbie Cruise Ship that Uncle Pete and Aunt Jess sent Laura.  The kids have played with those daily.

Laura loves singing along to her CDs...we've given her a collection ranging throughout different genres and her favorite one seems to be a Sara Evans one of mine from several years back.
