Ben is starting the 2nd grade at Edison with a new teacher who "is super cool...he jumps over desks and rides a motorcycle and even has a SpongeBob backpack!!"...I think Ben may like this guy, lol. Hopefully this year will be a great one for him. He's one of only 2 boys in the class due to some sort of mishap when they were assigning rooms which, in a way may be really good for him since he's going to practically be forced to buddy up and make a friend this year.
Laura is starting her first year of preschool at Bethlehem Lutheran and is really excited. She'll be going for just under 3 hours a day, 2 days a week. It's pretty cute, since it's a private school she has to follow a uniform dress code which was a small problem with my fashionista at first but will hopefully fade away now that she's been able to pick out some of her uniform jumpers on her own.
While the kiddos are learning, Polly and Mommy have taken up hiking Badger Mountain (there is literally just enough time to get up and back down after dropping Laura off before returning to the school to get into the carpool line). So, fingers crossed for a magnificent school year for all!
